Product Overview
The ZH-4023A is an industrial-grade Single-Phase AC Power Transducer Module designed for comprehensive electrical parameter monitoring and automated threshold alarming. Utilizing True RMS (TRMS) measurement, it provides accurate analysis of AC voltage, current, active power, reactive power, power factor, frequency, and cumulative energy—even in variable frequency equipment environments.
Built-in with a programmable alarm relay (supporting upper/lower limit and window modes), the ZH-4023A delivers reliable real-time protection and telemetry via an isolated RS485 Modbus RTU interface. It integrates seamlessly into PLC control systems, SCADA platforms, and smart energy management architectures.

Feature:
1.The sampling period can be set at seven rates: 20ms, 40ms, 60ms, 80ms, 100ms, 400ms, and 1000ms.
2. It has multiple communication formats such as odd parity, even parity, no parity, and 2-stop bits that can be freely set.
3. The electricity has the function of accumulating and storing in both forward and reverse directions, and has the function of saving in case of power failure.
4. Multiple work operation indicator lights, with a red light indicating normal product operation (flashing for 100ms) and a green light indicating product communication.
5. Equipped with a relay alarm output, it can set four threshold alarm functions: upper limit, lower limit, within area, and outside area.
6. Strong anti-interference ability, input, output, and power ports can withstand surge voltages of up to 2KV or more
7. True RMS measurement, applicable to the measurement of variable frequency equipment.
8.Available with wide power supply options: DC: 10-30V or 10-55V.

Q1: How does the built-in relay alarm function work on the ZH-4023A?
A: The module includes an internal relay (250VAC/5A) that can be configured to trigger automatically based on monitored parameters (such as over-voltage, over-current, or power limits). You can program 4 threshold alarm logic modes via Modbus registers: Lower Limit, Upper Limit, In-Range, and Out-of-Range.


Q2: Is the bi-directional energy data saved when power is cut off?
A: Yes. The ZH-4023A tracks both forward and reverse active/reactive energy accumulation and automatically saves the data to non-volatile memory in the event of a power outage.


Q3: Can this module measure variable frequency drives (VFD) or distorted AC waveforms?
A: Yes. Featuring True RMS (TRMS) conversion and a wide frequency response of 30Hz to 1kHz, the module delivers accurate measurements even under frequency-converted or non-sinusoidal conditions.


Q4: How do I reset the module to factory default address and baud rate?
A: Short-circuit terminal 3 (INT) and terminal 4 (G), then power on the module. Once released, the device resets to Factory Default settings: Address 1 and Baud Rate 9600 bps.
